Stella's therapeutic style is collaborative, patient-centered, and strength-based. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to best support each patient’s unique needs and goals. She considers therapy to be most effective when it is tailored, supportive, and empowering.

Stella believes in the power of the therapeutic alliance and that therapy can be a valuable tool to help anyone improve their well-being. It is her hope to create a warm and empathetic environment where patients feel heard, understood, and encouraged in their growth

Stella has experience utilizing CBT, ACT, and Strengths-Based Therapy to support patients in identifying patterns, building resilience, and developing effective coping strategies. She also integrates Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing into her work to provide compassionate, individualized care. Stella uses these modalities to help patients navigate and manage anxiety, depression, and relationship issues while fostering growth and overall well-being.

In addition to Stella's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions.
