Rose Laurent Josi
Psychotherapist for Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Couples
Rose is a warm and compassionate psychotherapist dedicated to creating a safe and collaborative space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. Shaped by her international upbringing, she brings a firsthand understanding of how culture and context shape each person’s experience — a perspective that informs her deep commitment to honoring every individual's unique goals.
Prior to her graduate studies, Rose worked as a mental health counselor on an inpatient eating disorder unit, where she supported adolescents and adults navigating eating disorders and co-occurring acute mental health challenges. Bringing both attentiveness and care to each patient’s progress, she provided one-on-one emotional support and helped patients build on their strengths and move forward in their recovery. She also has experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a day program.
Rose is passionate about working with adults, adolescents, and couples navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. She draws from an integrative blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Therapy to support individuals in better understanding themselves and working toward meaningful change.
In addition to Rose's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.
Rose has a strong foundation in mental health counseling through her training at Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in International Affairs from Northeastern University.
