Neera Mohess
Psychotherapist for Individuals

Neera Mohess is an integrative therapist who works with a wide variety of individuals, couples, and families navigating mental health challenges, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She is committed to creating a safe therapeutic space where each individual is heard and supported. Neera collaborates with her patients to harness their strengths, develop practical strategies, and foster insights that lead to emotional well-being and personal growth. She draws on a variety of therapeutic techniques, including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapies (CBT, ACT and DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
She has worked at the Samaritans of New York hotline where she trained volunteers and supported callers experiencing suicidal ideation. As a Disaster Action Team responder for the American Red Cross, she assisted New Yorkers displaced by fires and other emergencies. She has also served as a Volunteer Advocate at the Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) Program providing crisis support to survivors of rape, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence at emergency departments across New York City.
Neera is completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lehman College. She holds a Master of Library Science from Queens College, and a Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Baruch College.
