Leah Rubbo
Psychotherapist for Individuals
Leah takes a collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, working alongside patients to help them explore challenges and recognize their inner strengths. Her goal is to create a warm, empathetic space where patients feel safe, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. She works with each individual to uncover patterns, build resilience, and develop coping strategies that support personal growth and healing.
She tailors her work to each patient’s unique needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Leah specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. She also works with children and adolescents, helping them build emotional regulation, strengthen coping skills, and improve family dynamics. Her hope is to help patients gain insight, strengthen their sense of self, and feel more confident in their daily lives.
In addition to Leah's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.
Leah has a strong foundation in mental health counseling through her training at Liberty University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Adelphi University.
