Gabrielle Schwartz

Gabrielle is a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed therapist-in-training who strives to meet patients with empathy, curiosity, and care. Her therapeutic style is rooted in a strengths-based and relational approach, with a focus on creating a safe, affirming space for individuals to explore their identities, experiences, and goals.
She takes an integrative, client-centered approach and draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic therapy. Gabrielle has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. She believes in the power of therapy to foster self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change, and works with each patient to tailor the process to their unique needs.
Gabrielle has a strong foundation in mental health counseling through her training at Fordham University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences from The George Washington University, where she also participated in research on therapeutic interventions.
Her clinical experience includes work as a Helpline Specialist for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), providing crisis support and resource referrals; as a Registered Behavior Technician Intern, delivering ABA therapyto children with autism; and as a contributor to The Erin Levitas Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing sexual assault through education and advocacy.
In addition to Gabrielle's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.
Gabrielle works with adults and adolescents in her clinical practice and brings a deep respect for the individuality and resilience of each patient she serves.
