Eleanor is a compassionate and thoughtful psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting adolescents, adults, and groups. She is dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative, and interactive space where patients feel empowered to explore their emotions, experiences, and identities. Her work is grounded in psychodynamic, relational-cultural, and mindfulness-based approaches, allowing her to meet each patient with authenticity and care. Eleanor views every therapeutic relationship as unique and thoughtfully tailors interventions to best support each individual’s journey.
Eleanor has experience working with patients navigating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and body image concerns. She approaches each person with empathy and without judgment, taking the time to understand their storyand collaborate on meaningful, achievable goals.
In addition to Eleanor's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.
Eleanor has a strong foundation in mental health counseling through her training at Teachers College, Columbia University, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. She is also a certified yoga instructor, committed to fostering holistic well-being and nurturing the mind-body connection.
