Elaina is an empathetic and dedicated psychotherapist committed to providing high-quality care and supporting patients on their journey toward healing and personal growth. Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, she adapts her approach to promote well-being and development.

Elaina earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University, bringing both a solid academic foundation and practical clinical experience to her role. Before her graduate studies, she served as a research assistant in multiple research labs, focusing on anxiety and depression, which enhanced her expertise in evidence-based practices. Additionally, her experience working in a medical office setting broadened her perspective on healthcare dynamics, further informing her clinical approach.

Elaina is committed to fostering a safe, non-judgmental space where patients feel empowered to express their challenges and work toward positive change. Her clinical interests include eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and interpersonal dynamics. She tailors interventions to meet each individual’s needs by applying Cognitive Behavioral Techniques to establish measurable goals and track progress.

In addition to Elaina's areas of special focus, she is qualified and experienced in treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, OCD, PTSD, trauma, grief, burnout, couples and family issues, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, addictive disorders (including alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, and food), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic illness adjustment, sleep disorders, somatic conditions, work and career stress, identity and existential concerns, perfectionism, cultural and racial identity stress, and life transitions. Using an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, she provides compassionate, individualized care tailored to every patient she serves.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Elaina serves as Supportive Documentation Coordinator at Gotham Psychotherapy. In this capacity, she oversees the preparation and coordination of essential documentation that supports patient care and advocacy. Her responsibilities include service animal letters and disability evaluations to ensure that patients receive the accommodations and resources they need.
